ŽRK Podravka Vegeta is a Croatian women's handball club from the town of Koprivnica . ŽRK stands for Ženski Rukometni Club (Ladies Handball Association),
Podravka is the main sponsor (food giant in Croatia) and a spice Vegeta product of the main sponsor.
Following the creation in 1955, under the name "Ivo Marinković Koprivnica", was the first game in Koprivnica against Grafičar Bjelovar on 4 December 1955, won with 7:4. The first official game took place on 1 April 1956 against Slavija Čakovec, and ended with 2:3. It should be noted that at that time still large field handball was played.
Starting that year played in a regional league, in a circle Varaždin, the same year the club was renamed in ''RK Partizan''. Trainer was Vladimir Ščrbek.
1958, the new playing field in Koprivnica opened, as has been covering red ash.
1960/61-1962/63 - was RK Partizan amateur champion in Croatia.

Exactly 31 May 1975, the new school opened in Koprivnica, it is also home of the Handball Association.

After the renewed decline in the year 1981/82 it took almost a decade before finally 1989/90 back into the first division ascended. Also returned this year after 18 years of abstinence master trainer prof. Josip Samaržija back to the club. His co-trainer was Mato Matijević.
The season was also the last in the Yugoslav league, after the disintegration of the Balkan state was the play until 1992, war reasons. This season, the first in the independent Croatian league, won third place.
Then began the second full-time gloss of the association. From the 1992/93 season was one to the 2002/03 season champion and cup winner! The fan club called "Red Roosters" and was on 9 March 2002 in connection with the association RK Podravka.
Hall
The Sports Hall of Koprivnica is located at the "Freedom Square No.7 (Trg Slobode 7). The official capacity of 2200 spectators. The gallery is located on one side of the hall. Apart from the Handball Association is the hall from the secondary school and other sports clubs from Koprivnica.
