Champions of Montenegro opened new season with an important victory. In derby of first round Budućnost T-Mobile defeated Krim Mercator with result 32:30 (14:15) .
Handball fans in Ljubljana enjoyed exciting match with a thriller end. After 60 minutes of superb handball Budućnost T-Mobile managed to defeat double CL winner in away match, although home team also showed excellent performance.
Team of Gyula Zsiga had a great start taking 4:1 lead. In 20th minute result was 11:8 for the guests. Then Krim reacted and equalized. First half ended with score 15:14 in favour of home team.
In second half Montenegrins again had a good start. In 43rd minute they took 24:22 lead and soon managed to increase the margin on four goals. Surprisingly, home team reacted same as in the first half and equalised on 28:28 in 56th minute. But this time Krim did not have strength to do something more then that. Finally Budućnost won with a 32:30.
Best scorer was new captain of Budućnost T-Mobile Marija Jovanović with 12 goals. Dijana Golubić scored 9 goals for Krim.
