Jelena Grubišić signs for Krim Mercator

Krim Mercator obviously wants to create great team for next season. New reinforcement is goalkeeper of Lokomotiva and Croatian national team Jelena Grubišić who signed contract yesterday.

Krim already has promising handball profiles like Andrea Lekić, Dijana Golubić and Kristina Franić although Golubić did not prolong the contract, yet. With experienced Bodnieva and Vergelyuk it will be strong team next season.

22-year old Grubišić spent 12 years in Lokomotiva but time has come to say goodbye. All started back in 1997. There are lots of good memories which connect Jelena to her favourite club.

“I signed for 2 years, so I will go to Slovenia… Biggest advantage for me is proximity of Ljubljana, because of my faculty engagements – I am on fifth year of Economy so this way I can continue with my study. Krim has young and promising team. They played in quarterfinals of CL, they are playing in WRHL - there will be many tough matches which will help me to improve.

I am very glad that Franić will be my team-mate and I do hope Golubić will prolong the contract and stay. I really do believe that I will be satisfied there.” – said Grubišić.

Besides Jelena Grubišić, there will be two more players on goalkeepers position in Krim Mercator - experienced Stefanišin and young Pandžić.
