HC Metalurg continues with excellent games, in just ten days girls from Skopje beat teams of Zito Prilep, Biseri from Pljevlja (twice), Leov Bartek, Kicevo and today, the Serbian champion team Zajecar.   All are overwhelmed with reliable, fast and modern plays, both in defense and in attack. If you forget the first half, against Biseri, Metalurg played phenomenal. The only defeat in this heavy competition calendar, is experienced by the powerful team of Buducnost in Podgorica, and that after a tough battle in which best Balkan team, the semifinals in the Champions League.

Today's match was significant for both teams. It was a struggle for third place in the Regional League, a place which avoids the semi-final clash with Buducnost in Final four who play this weekend, in Zajecar. Namely, there was a new interpretation of the requirements under which Metalurg received an official competition with Hypo, and there by flatten the grade-point team Zajecar. In the case of a tie or our defeat, the team Zajecar won third place. The only option was Metalurg win with any difference.

Zajecar team is a team-representation of Serbia. Almost all players are permanent or temporary play for national team of Serbia. In Zajecar also play one croatian and slovenian national player. Also, in Zajecar play Sanja Damjanovic, the best scorer of the Regional League with 63 goals scored. Zajecar this year defend both titles, national and cup competition with no point lost. In the first meeting at home they defeat Metalurg with 31:23.

Because of this, today's victory, scoring 32:27, has its own, a special weight. The contest took place in heavy combat. In the majority of the meeting, Metalurg controlled the outcome, but at times, the advantage had guests. Half ended with no winner, 15:15, and stayed 30 minutes to resolve the dilemma of who will play Buducnost, and who by Podravka Koprivnica. The second part, Metalurg played a masterful, almost without error. This evening had Metalurg backs Bajramovska, 8, and especially Elena Georgievska with 10 goals scored. Elena scored several goals in the manner of Europe's best backs. The players of Zajecar unable to fend off such a game and had to capitulate.

The final tournament will played in Zajecar, 21. and 22. May. Semifinal meetings on Saturday, the final Sunday.
